My PS2 doesn’t seem to work anymore as it doesn’t read disks, and I’ve tried changing the lens, but it doesn’t work. So yeah, I still have a lot of PS2 games which I love such as Ratchet and Clank and Sly Racoon, and I want to know for sure if I would be able to play them on the PS3 if I get one.

Up until now I just assumed you could as I could play PS1 games on my PS2, but I’ve been browsing the net and some things seem to make me doubt PS3s can play all PS2 games. =\

Anyone have any knowledge on this topic they can share? As well as that can someone please tell me why PS3s need so much space? The PS2 memory cards were only 8mb, and I only got through 1.5 memory cards in the 3 or so years I had it. How come the PS3 needs 80Gb or more?
